Clean Energy Programs
California has programs across the state to assist residents with low- to moderate-income in making the transition to clean energy. These programs provide financial assistance to purchase electric vehicles, install solar panels, and much more. Access Clean California currently partners with many of these programs to help residents apply for these benefits. We also help determine the additional programs you may be eligible for.
Community Outreach Partners
We are committed to reaching those with the least access to clean energy benefits, but cannot do it alone. We work with a network of community Outreach Partners who do the critical work of engaging priority community members. Together we center trust and building collaborative partnerships.
Case Management Team
Our Case Management Team provides ongoing case management support services to clients navigating the application process. They are proactive facilitators and take a needs-driven approach to help clients submit their applications. The care team was requested by our Outreach Partners to help clients overcome any barriers during the application process.

More than 90% of Californians breathe unhealthy air caused by many factors, including pollution from cars' exhaust pipes and burning of natural gas in buildings and homes. Air pollution contributes to asthma, lung and heart disease, and many other health problems, as well as climate change. People of color are more likely to live in heavily polluted areas, have worse health outcomes on average than white people, and often have fewer resources to adapt to weather extremes and other climate change impacts. Clean transportation and home electrification helps reduce pollution and make our air cleaner.
To reach its clean air and clean energy goals, California needs all residents to switch to cleaner fuels. Electric cars and solar panels can be costly up front so the state created different programs to help residents afford them.
It might! Many programs on this site can reduce or even eliminate up-front costs to purchase or lease a new or used electric, plug-in hybrid, or hybrid vehicle, and it costs much less to fill your car with electricity than to run it on gas. Electric cars are also cheaper to maintain than gasoline vehicles. In addition, many programs prioritize cleaner vehicles and offer the most amount of funding for EVs and plug-In hybrid EVs. Less funding is available for hybrid vehicles and some programs don't offer grants and/or rebates for hybrids altogether.
