Clean Cars 4 All - Bay Area
Bay Area residents can get up to $12,000 to replace an old gas car with a new or used plug-in hybrid or battery electric.
Participants can also go "car-free" by choosing the Mobility Option, which provides $7,500 on a prepaid card to use for public transit and/or the purchase of an e-bike and bike accessories. Households of more than one person may purchase additional e-bikes with the $7,500 grant. You may combine these mobility options to best suit your mobility needs (e.g. $1,700 for an e-bike and $5,800 for public transit). If your car is not currently registered, you can provide two years of auto insurance or two years of automotive repair invoices to show the car has been operated in California for the last two years. Note: Clean Cars for All offers up to $2,000 for electric vehicle charging. You will have the opportunity to apply for the rebate after you have submitted your application and received your notice of award.
